About Us
We work hard to find and recruit individuals who share our values and commitment to improving the quality of life for residents. Then we invest time and resources to train them to the highest standard, using the expertise of outside professionals and our own in-house trainer.
The commitment to create a caring environment and bringing variety and enjoyment to the lives of residents is a priority for all Katherine House staff, from the management team through to care assistants, activities co-ordinators, housekeepers and kitchen staff.
Katherine House is part of the well-respected Cote Charity, which for the past forty years has provided attractive, retirement accommodation for older people in Westbury-on-Trym in Bristol. We are very fortunate in having the Society of Merchant Venturers as our generous and supportive Trustees and we are also supported by The Grateful Society, whose resources allow us to further enhance the quality of care and facilities offered to our residents.

Care Quality Commission
The Care Quality Commission recently inspected Katherine House and found us to be compliant in all areas, awarding us, in August 2019, with a 'GOOD' CQC care rating in Safe, Effective, Caring and Well led, and OUTSTANDING in Responsive. We are proud to provide excellent care and always strive to make residents and their relatives comfortable and welcome. You can view the online report here
