Morning activities
We are pleased to be gradually introducing some weekly morning activities to the Wellbeing Programme. Librarians and Odd Jobs Club offers residents the opportunity to take charge of projects and be independent as they help around the home. During our first meet up, we started with a discussion on the residents' past careers and discovered we had experts in Botany, Zoology, Nursing, Physiotherapy, Sports, Music, Libraries, Ballet, The Arts & Acting. We found that many of our attendees had careers that involved helping others, and decided this should be the core of what our club is all about. Since then, the library has become a hub for residents who want to be a part of what goes on behind the scenes!
Alongside this, we have been getting together for good old-fashioned coffee mornings and upbeat sing-a-longs to get ready for the day with a spring in our step. All of these groups have been a fantastic way for residents to form new friendships with people who share similar interests with them.
